Meet Melissa Christiansen ~ Owner & Lead Designer

Melissa has always had a passion for design and loves assisting clients in bringing their creative visions to life!  Originally from New Jersey, she’s lived in Charlotte for 25 years! Mom to Jacob (14) and fur mama to 2 labs, Harper & Lexi. She has worked in the Real Estate industry for 25 years and also has a real estate team ~ The Christiansen Group.

Her background in real estate makes her uniquely qualified in knowing what will bring value and beauty to your home.   She has an eye for design and sometimes utilizes computer renderings and visualization tools, which help assist clients in “painting the picture” on what to expect in their finished space. From the exterior to the very intimates of interior, she works closely with each party involved and finds communication is the key to cohesive and extraordinary results.  Each project is a unique endeavor and she tries to have fun the entire process!

She is dedicated to crafting custom residential design experiences by collaborating with her clients to determine the best creative solution for each project. Together, you will strive to design spaces that offer a delicate balance between purpose and beauty.

Blush was launched in 2019 and started as a way for her to help her real estate clients fall in love with their home!  It was the perfect extension and allows her to continue to work with her real estate clients long after the home is sold and allows her to meet and work with new clients, who want to renovate or decorate their existing homes.

Meet Sheri Fierick ~ Associate Designer

Originally from New Jersey, she has lived in Charlotte for 29 years. She has a BA from Rowan University in Glassboro,NJ and Master of Arts in Teaching from Queens college.

Married with 3 kids 24, 21,15 & two dogs.

Enjoys trying new paint colors, looking for design inspiration on Pinterest, gardening, taking peloton spin classes, walking her dogs and taking trips to the beach or mountains. Likely to be found shopping at antiques markets, consignment stores and estate sales. Loves searching for colored glass, vintage rugs, brass and mercury glass.

She is very excited to be working with the blush design team and loves helping clients create a home they love living in!

Meet Sarah Schnell ~ Project Manager

Sarah has been planning corporate events for 20 years and now she's bringing those organizational skills to the Blush Design team as our Project Manager. Sarah pays attention to the details, she thrives on timelines and to do lists, and she thinks logistically about every project and how the pieces will all come together. We are excited to have her keep the Blush Design team and our clients on track, on time and on budget!

Sarah has lived in Charlotte for 9 years, relocating here from Chicago, IL. Prior to Chicago, Sarah lived in Boston, MA, Sydney, Australia, and Saratoga Springs, NY where she attended Skidmore College. Sarah grew up in a suburb outside Minneapolis, MN and will always be a Midwest girl at heart although after living in the Carolinas she'll never go back to living in those winters! Sarah has been married to her best friend and college sweetheart for 16 years. She has a 10 year old daughter and an 8 year old son who bring her laughter, stress, and life lessons every single day as well as a furry child, Oreo, and a scaly family member, Rex, her daughter's leopard gecko.
